What you should know about laser hair removal at PLC:
Who are we?
Physicians' Laser Center for nine years and counting has been recognized by physicians from all specialties as the pioneers in our industry. We have performed countless of laser procedures and pass the knowledge and experience to all of our clients. We are passionate about the high standards we set and the personnel we associate with in the training and ethical practices required in today's dynamic aesthetic market. From the beginning, our concept was simple - provide "state of the art" laser procedures and educate consumers about the incredible benefits offered by this technology. Physicians Laser Center and its team have always been in the forefront of evaluating new laser technology for safety, reliability, and effectiveness.
1. What kind of lasers does PLC use?
Many clinics employ the one-size-fits-all mentality, when it comes to lasers. At PLC, we use several of the latest FDA-approved lasers for all laser hair removal treatments and skin rejuvenation treatments. We custom tailor an individuals treatment to their specific hair color and skin type.
2. Who performs the Laser Treatments?
All laser treatments are performed in a physicians office by a certified medical practitioner under the direct supervision of the physician in that office. Before performing any treatments, each practitioner is trained intensively on the proper and effective use of the laser technology. Click here to meet our staff
3. What types of hair color and skin color can be treated with laser hair removal?
Hair color is the key to successful laser hair removal. Although laser hair removal can be performed on virtually any skin color, the hair color will have the greatest influence on the degree of long term efficacy or reduction. The light emitted from the laser is attracted to the melanin, or dark pigment, in the hair follicle. This means that dark hair is treated most effectively. Laser treatments performed on red, blonde, and gray hair are not generally effective.
4. Does my insurance cover these treatments?
No, unfortunately all of our procedures are considered cosmetic, solely for the purpose of altering a person's appearance, and as such, an uninsured service.
5. Why should I choose PLC over the many other laser centers in the area?
Simple really, at PLC we pride ourselves in knowing that the treatment we provide you with is one performed with the equipment designed to treat that exact problem. We do would not claim to be able to treat a variety of skin issues with only one laser that treated multiple issues pooly. Instead our lasers are each designated to perform one type procedure because their is no technology out there that does it better. When you choose PLC, you are choosing to have your treatment done with the most up to date and cutting edge technology available. In addition, our Doctors are on site every time some one comes to our center. We never perform a laser treatment unless a Physician is in the office and available at all times which gives our clients the peace of mind they deserve when having a medical procedure performed for them.
